Red Carpet Dresses – Golden Globe Awards 2016
Did anyone see the fabulous red carpet dresses on Sunday night?
The 73rd Golden Globe Awards kicked off awards season on January 10th, in Beverly Hills, California. For the fourth time the ceremony was hosted by Ricky Gervais, who brought his signature biting style of comedy on stage.
American biographical Western “The Revenant” was the big winner of the night, taking Globes for best drama, best actor (Leonardo DiCaprio) and best direction (Alejandro G. Iñárritu). “The Martian” took another top film award, while “Mr. Robot” and “Mozart in the Jungle” won in the TV drama and TV comedy categories, respectively. Jennifer Lawrence, wearing an eye-catching red gown by Dior (that is just as stunning as Ariella’s Saffron dress, that has been seen on TV sponsoring the Hollywood Academy Awards last year) took the prize for Best Actress in her latest film “Joy”. Other winners included Brie Larson in “Room”, Kate Winslet in “Steve Jobs”, Matt Damon in “The Martian” and Lady Gaga in popular TV series “American Horror Story: Hotel”.
Red Carpet Dresses – Ariella
Nearly as exciting as finding out the results was seeing all the fabulous outfits at the ceremony. Gold and red are one of the prominent colours of Ariella London collection, and they were among the trendiest colours of the night, and so were black and white. White dresses that could easily be mistaken for wedding gowns were popular with many celebrities: Liz Hernandez, Laverne Cox, Jane Fonda, Lily James and Eva Longoria, just to name a few. Other popular trends of the night included capes, pockets and plunging necklines. Some of the celebrities wanted to shine brighter than the others and chose light-reflecting gowns; Julianne Moore and Kate Bosworth being among them (if you want to shine just as bright, take a look at Ariella’s Gisele Gold Sequin long dress ). While some spent a lot of time and effort on finding their perfect outfits, American film actress and director Bryce Dallas Howard got her dress for the Golden Globe Awards at the department store, explaining it by preferring to have “lots of options for a size six, as opposed to maybe one option”.
But it was not just the outfits and the winners everyone was discussing that night. Channing Tatum, Katy Perry, Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara amazed everyone with their original hairstyles. You can take a look at them here.
